ARMENIAN RUGS SOCIETY BIENNIAL MEETING
The Armenian Rugs Society: Past, Present and Future
Join us for our biennial meeting. We have a full agenda of interesting events, including a Friday reception, speakers, an auction, a gala dinner Saturday evening, and discussion and planning of our goals for the next two years. On Sunday there will be an optional informal excursion to the newly redesigned De Young Museum in San Francisco (not included in the registration fee). Click for Details

Armenian Rugs and Weavings
The Armenian Library and Museum of America (ALMA) will host an exhibit of Armenian carpets and textiles. The exhibition is scheduled to coincide with the national ACOR Conference (American Conference on Oriental Rugs) held in Boston April 20-24 Opening Ceremonies 6:30 PM at ALMA. Click for Details

Oriental Rug Exhibition | 
"HEAVEN IN A CARPET”
Islamic carpets from the 15th to the 20th century
In collaboration with the
Institut du Monde Arabe (Paris), the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation will exhibit 56 carpets from some of the most prestigious public collections, in the world. This exhibition will open at the Foundation’s Temporary Exhibition Room on 6 May 2005 and close on 31 July 2005, Lisbon.

7:00 P.M | Murray Eiland III will present a broad-ranging picture of Syrian culture with particular attention paid to the contributions made by Armenians.The lecture will be illustrated by slides and accompanied by carpets and textiles. Images of archaeology in Armenia will also be briefly covered, time permitting.
