IMPORTANT ARMENIAN RUG EXHIBIT | |||||||||||
The exhibition dates are, January 19-22, 2006 Megerian Rugs is co-sponsoring with the Armenian Rugs Society and the Oriental Rug Retailers Association. This exhibit, entitled Armenian Odyssey, will be held during the National Oriental Rug Show at the AmericasMart Complex, Building 1, 2nd floor, in Atlanta, Georgia. On Friday January 20 at 10:00 am there will be a breakfast seminar given by the world renowned expert on Armenian Art and Architectural history, Dr. Lucy Der Manuelian, of Tufts University. The Sardarabad Museum of Armenia will exhibit rare historical rugs never before shown in the west. The Armenian Rugs Society will exhibit inscribed and dated Armenian rugs from members’ private collections. The special gallery, showcasing both antique and antique reproductions loaned for the event by collectors and curators, will be open throughout the market.
